PSHE

At Franche Community Primary School we take pride in knowing that our pupils describe their school as, “a place where everyone is welcome ... they feel safe and well cared for.” OFSTED 2019. Our Franche Values underpin all that we do across the whole school community and they inform our planning for teaching and learning in all subject areas. Through our personal, social, health and economic education (PSHE) our aim is to ensure children are equipped to be able to make positive choices and take responsibility for these different aspects of their lives. Our PSHE curriculum takes the needs of our individual learners into account and incorporates all aspects of the RSE requirements across the following themes:

  • Relationships
  • Health
  • Living in the wider world

As part of the delivery of our PSHE curriculum, we use the 1Decision resource. Please take a look at the Parent/Carer Zone of the website. Here you will find an introduction to the resources, video examples and a module overview document which highlights all of the topics featured in each of the 5-8 and 8-11 modules.
